i talk to you now
Are we going to help the average Iraq by blowing their brains out? Educate yourself and stand for what's right. I'm educating myself everyday.
Nothing has changed since weapons inspectors have gone into Iraq; they've admitted they've found nothing significant. Yet isn't it funny how each day the media keeps informing us that president bush is getting more and more impatient with Iraq. Impatient with what? Nothing has changed! The evil people of this world see time as money. Or in this case, time as oil. This war IS about oil. Proof may well be when it's all too late, and America has installed another phoney government. Just like it's done in my shaken beauty called Afghanistan, where the current 'Afghan' government (made in America) is giving cocaine to the entire world. So that more people can be unhappy as they sniff loneliness up their noses in New York City and cry into a mirror. So that more bad people can be rich.
We can change things. We are humans. Look at what happened in Vietnam. Nothing is in vain. Everything matters.
Once again, the average human in Iraq will not be helped by being killed. America will not liberate anyone; the intentions of the U.S. government are not noble in this case, just as they were not noble in Vietnam. Just as Terrorism (by any nation/human) is not a noble act.
Educate
yourselves and those around you so that we can all serve humanity better.
We seriously need to take some sort of first step in making peace with each other on this planet, like the beautiful people in the photo below, and the beautiful people across this Earth who believe in smiling to a sunrise and all the natural beauty in life that 'oppressive regimes' have absolutely nothing to do with.
Life is precious. We unite by standing for what we believe in.
What
is it that you believe in?
If
everything you owned was smashed, and all that was left in life were people.....
you would find happiness.

might well help bomb Iraq. But the people don't want it.
They want democracy. Just as we in England do.
We keep talking until we get peace.
Impending
loss of human life is coming much closer day by day.
Yet are you not beggining to feel that everybody is against this?
And that the people who are for it look more and more as if they have no case
whatsoever?
Truth is on one side. And a lot of uninformed people will not change the truth,
no matter if they have the power or not.
Because there is no higher power than Truth! Except the One who creates truth,
and spreads it amongst us.
So
that we can make sense of this world.
This effort against war is our truth. And from Peshawar to Tokyo, humanity is
bonding in a way it never has.
Go on these historic protests, and realise that humanity, the people of Earth,
have not been this united for a long time.
What's
the reason for this unity? This unity that doesn't just involve rich white politicians
in Europe on some 1940's ish.
This unity that sees normal people in San Francisco protesting about
the same thing as those people in the heart of Palestine.
The reason is simple.
In
our pure hearts we all reject violence. And we all can feel a common ground
with an innocent man who lives in Iraq.
We won't let him die without a fight. And whatever may happen, nothing is in
vain.

one more time
One thing that makes me realise we are the inhabitants of future history books is the inevitability of this war. All of us who were at the marches across the world on February 15th knew in our hearts that america would commit mass-murder in Iraq, probably no matter what we said or did. Even if you weren't at the march but against it in your heart, you would think that america will do what it wants.
At
the same time, we can help. We are helping by lending our voices to the growing
numbers who are against meaningless death.
The evidence is a joke. And we are ready to kill british soldiers, Human Beings,
american soldiers, Human Beings, and iraqi Humans, for what?
For what might happen? For what could happen? History has taught us that the
only time mr.hussein has used his weapons are when his power is under threat.
He gassed his own people, the Kurds, when they tried to uprise against him.
He used his weapons on Iran during the war. He shot missiles at Israel when
he was under attack. So what would be the wise thing to do now? A village idiot
might put his hand up and say "attack him again??" But then, that's
what we are planning to do now isn't it? Our governments are not being very
clever. Even most of the members of our government know that. Some of them are
brave enough to stand up and lay their careers on the line by stating their
beliefs.
The
weapons inspectors are the impartial representatives of a law that all civilised
countries have promised to follow through the united nations. Those inspectors
threw out of 90% of colin powell's laughable evidence in their last adress to
the security council. Now they have asked for more time. Bush says he doesn't
need anyones permission. But nobody is above the law, and if we in Britain can
stop our government in any way, it will have a huge impact on him.
Those people in iraq are doing what we want, disarming a maniac, and they are
making progress everyday, and they have asked for more time.
Have your say, find out the adress of your local representative and say something
if you feel the passion enough to do so. Ignorant people have always waged war,
throughout history, and they may well do so again. Those who were opposed to
the war will always be the counter-point in any future history book.
The more of us there are, the more this war gets remembered for what it is,
corrupt. dirty, and stinking.
Let's sink the bad motives and try our hardest to save lives.
Peace,
Yosh.

Subject: Hi there.
I'm a young voter. I just wanted you to know that I plan to vote in the next election. For the first time in my life I'm going to vote, and take part in a democracy.
I'm going to do
to Labour what my father did to the conservatives. That is vote them out of
power, and vote in the lesser of two evils.
In short, Tony Blair has inspired me to stop being so pessimistic about democracy
and voting, and I will cast my vote to get rid of him and the labour party who
are ignoring the peoples voice.
I know people reading this may well be against the killing of thousands of innocents in Iraq, and I respect you if you are. All I can say is, choose a position, loyalty to your leader and a few of his powerful friends, or loyalty to the people, millions, the majority, who are against war. Who were represented by just a fraction of us at the anti-war march recently in London.
I take great pride in my power as a voter, and I say it with no sarcasm, Tony Blair is the reason I have become interested in voting. Just wanted you guys at Labour to know that I am against the parties stance and no-one I know is voting labour at the next election. We're voting liberal!
Hope this letter meant something, if it didn't to you, it definitely did to me.
Peace,
Y.Misdaq, Brighton.
'terrorists' are me & you if our families and culture were destroyed and raped
The title of this has nothing to do with this. Because this war has nothing to do with terrorism. It has everything to do with complex issues like power and oil and money. It has everything to do with the opposite of what the leaders of america & britain tell us. Because the leaders are corrupt. They know how to lie through their teeth. We only know how to listen. We need to learn better, how to question.
Here in america the mood is different. It began last night. All of a sudden the news reporters started getting in their tactical and military observers and retired generals to talk about how great this is. All of a sudden you realise what robots these are in front of the camera, what emotionless robots, and you almost feel like you're in another world. All of a sudden CNN assumes that everyone in Iraq is looking forward to their 'liberation'. One thing about 'looking forward to your liberation' is, when you change the word liberation, to what it really means, 'death and destruction of everything you have ever known', you might understand why every Iraq in Baghdad and across the country is against it. They would rather not be killed and destroyed by the 'mother of all bombs'. They'd rather be allowed to live, like they were under the corrupt dictator Mr. Hussein.
How
simple is that one truth? They would rather live under a regime that they didn't
like, than live under american colonial power and have a couple of thousand
citizens killed on the way.
Why don't you mark my words now? Do it, mark these words, because they are real:
the citizens of Iraq will blow themselves to pieces to get rid of american colonialisation,
to get rid of american generals ruling over iraq. They will do whatever they
have to do to. Because it is a disgrace, take this from someone who knows, a
real disgrace to have people ruling over you who you actively do not want to
be there. People like the british and american governments and military, who
have been responsible for sanctioning (starving) your country for years, according
to UN estimates, killing over 50, 000 of your countries children. People who
then lied to the honest people of iraq and said it was Mr. Hussein who was the
only one responsible for their poverty. Bad people are making this war. Did
you ever stop to think about something quite crude, simple and obvious? Jack
Straw, George Bush, Tony Blair, Donald Rumsfeld, Sadaam Hussein, none of them
look like good guys! They all look devious, with hidden agendas, they look ignorant,
arrogant, stupid. But they don't look OR act like people who are concerned for
the innocent civillians involved here.
So mark this, terrorism will increase. Across america now, people will be more
polarised, all Muslims are against it, that's for certain. What I can't tell
you is how many normal people will give in to understandible fanatisism in this
country. What I can say is this, Iraq children who are, as I speak, & as
I have just walked away from CNN in disgust, watching their mothers and fathers
being ripped into two pieces. Fathers are watching their children being horrendously
mutilated. Mothers are watching their families gouged and raped by weapons of
mass destruction, by american troops who don't know any better.
Those people will become what we now so ignorantly call terrorists. Because as they look into the sky and see the american stars & stripes on the planes that just murdered their families, they will remember the pain, remember the feeling of helplessness, and remember the evil that has been done to them. Soon, when the time is right for these people, unjustly, but totally understandibly, they will terrorise the western world. They will blow themselves up. Why? Because ever since today, when their families were murdered, they have had nothing to live for but revenge on america, & britain.
We
are going to suffer. Remember it now. I marched in london on february 15th because
I, and all fellow citizens will actively create terrorists by allowing our governments
to blow up their families. Terrorists arte just you & me. Dana
Shahzada, from this very website, today informed me that the universities
in my home-city of Brighton are shut-down, that all the lecturers are joining
all the students in the streets, protesting. I wish so badly that america had
a more fair media that wasn't so blatantly biased in keeping the people ignorant
of what is really happening. I wish for a media that would allay 2 thirds of
americans fears that 'most of the september 11th hijackers were iraqis'.
None were. If you want to stand up for what's right, now is the time, because
nothing is in vain.
Peace,
